Welcome to Reach to Recovery International

The Reach to Recovery International Breast Cancer Support Network is dedicated to improving the quality of life for breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families through peer support, advocacy and consumer involvement in research.
The Reach to Recovery International Breast Cancer Support Network is built on a simple yet universal principle: that of one woman who has lived through breast cancer giving of her time and experience to help another woman confronting the same challenge.
Reach to Recovery International works to improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families by nurturing volunteer peer support and promoting services to meet the needs of women with breast cancer worldwide.
Through the RRI network, members have the opportunity to:
- Receive peer support training
- Attend regional and international conferences; and
- Receive RRI's newsletter, Bloom.
Members of the network benefit from sharing expertise in volunteer breast cancer support, as well as publications and the latest information on breast cancer.
Welcome from President
Breast cancer is a global issue. Each year around one million, two hundred thousand women worldwide are diagnosed with breast cancer. For many women and their families this is a challenging and difficult time and it has been consumers, the women themselves, who have highlighted the necessity of appropriate supportive care following a diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer. The Reach to Recovery International movement has, through peer support and advocacy, played a unique and important role; a role which acknowledges and celebrates the power of shared personal experience. We welcome you to the Reach to Recovery International collaborative community, bringing together resources, organisations, connections, experiences in a commitment to improve the quality of life of women diagnosed with breast cancer.
